Gemstones

I've always been drawn to gemstones, initially simply captivated by their colours and sparkle, but over time, learning about their historical uses and balancing properties has deepened my fascination. I’ve always had a passion for costume jewellery, and as a young girl, I loved visiting Swarovski stores to admire how the crystals captured the light. However, when it came to my own designs, I've gravitated toward natural stones. I love how they feel on the skin, the calmness they bring, and the weight they carry - qualities that man-made stones just can’t replicate.

Aquamarine

Aquamarine is one of my favourite stones to work with, thanks to its calming light blue hues. It’s a versatile stone that works year-round and complements all skin tones.

  • Good for: Reducing stress and promoting emotional balance.

  • Style advice: Aquamarine pairs beautifully with most skin tones. I love it worn with a crisp white shirt and washed denim for a fresh, relaxed look.

Morganite

I’m particularly drawn to Morganite for its soft, pastel rainbow hues. It’s a very wearable stone that pairs effortlessly with other colours.

  • Good for: Unconditional love, compassion, and bringing joy and calm.

  • Style advice: Morganite’s delicate tones are perfect for blondes, but they can be worn by anyone. I often combine them with stronger hues to avoid a washed-out look. As someone with dark hair, I love layering Morganite pieces - they blend well with other stones and add a subtle, colourful touch.

Moonstone

Moonstone is such a versatile and wearable stone. Its pearlescent sheen makes it easy to dress up or down.

  • Good for: Balancing emotions and inspiring creativity.

  • Style advice: Moonstone works beautifully both day and night, but it especially sparkles in the evening light, making it an elegant choice for any occasion.

Opal

The majority of the opals I work with are dyed white opals because of the vibrant rainbow colours they come in. Originally, I wanted to focus solely on completely natural stones, but I realised I was missing out on the kaleidoscopic fun designs I could create with dyed stones.

  • Good for: Calmness for an overactive mind and enhancing creativity.

  • Style advice: I wear my rainbow opal necklaces year-round, layering them with other pieces for a pop of colour. They’re also perfect worn subtly under a jumper, allowing just a hint of colour to brighten your face and lift your look.

Peridot

The Peridot Daisy Chain Necklace is one of my favourites from my collection. The shade of Peridot is a flattering, refreshing green.

  • Good for: Purity, strength, balance, and good luck.

  • Style advice: This pure green works beautifully with both warm and cool skin tones. I love combining Peridot with brights or pastels, making it a perfect layering stone that adds a lively boost to any look.

Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is one of the most nurturing stones. Its gentle hue complements many skin tones, and I love the loving, motherly energy it brings.

  • Good for: Unconditional love, emotional healing, and promoting compassion and peace.

  • Style advice: Rose Quartz is lovely on its own, but I often pair it with Morganite or Opal to bring out its softer tones and create a lively, multidimensional look.

Sapphire

Sapphire is another favourite of mine. The deep navy blue is both timeless and elegant, and the way it catches the light is mesmerizing. My sapphire pieces, especially the Skinny designs, are some of my best sellers.

  • Good for: Wisdom, inner peace, and self-awareness.

  • Style advice: Sapphire is a softer alternative to black, making it flattering for a wide range of skin tones. The sparkle, especially in the 2mm stones I use, adds a beautiful, reflective glow, perfect for evening wear.

Tourmaline

For the Autumn/Winter months, I adore Tourmaline. This stone comes in a stunning range of jewel tones that perfectly capture the essence of the season, adding a vibrant touch to any outfit.

  • Good for: Boosting energy and sparking creativity.

  • Style advice: Tourmaline complements all skin tones, but the rich, warm hues particularly enhance cooler complexions. It’s the perfect way to update your wardrobe for the season, offering a flattering and easy-to-wear pop of colour.
